Meet the Leadership Team
Dayna DeHerrera, Coalition President
Dayna is a Colorado native. Born and raised in Alamosa at the center of the San Luis Valley. She moved to Greeley in 2011 to complete her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services at the University of Northern Colorado. Dayna graduated in 2015 and began working on her Masters of Public Health through the Colorado School of Public Health. She is employed as a Customer Support Representative with Information Management & Technology at UNC. She has been an active member of the Tobacco Free Coalition of Weld County since Early 2015. She held the position as Secretary/Treasurer for the coalition for a year before moving into the presidency role. Dayna is passionate about tobacco prevention and considers it to be a social justice issue that can be solved in her lifetime.
Juan Gomez, Coalition Vice-President
As Vice-President of the Tobacco-Free Coalition of Weld County, Juan promotes and implements tobacco free policies in schools as well as the community. Juan is a Parent Recruitment Coordinator for the Integrated Nutrition Education Program (INEP) through the University of Colorado Denver. He is also an Academic Coach for Goal Academy in Greeley. He received his Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Community Health Education from the Colorado School of Public Health and promotes healthy lifestyles by encouraging healthy living.
