Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act

There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke*. Breathing secondhand smoke for even a short time can have immediate health effects that increase the risk of serious health conditions including heart attack**. On July 1, 2006, the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act went into effect. It was passed to protect the public from involuntary exposure to secondhand smoke.
